Annette Knol spent most of her youth in the Netherlands, Sweden and Great Britain after which she studied Visual Communication at Edinburgh College of Art. In 2006 she moved to Berlin where she
co-founded artists' groups Kiss the Demon (2007) and the Drawing Workshop (2007), a nomadic art laboratory for experimental, collective art practice, which led to the setting up of multi-functional project space the Kotti-Shop (2009) and more recently the print workshop Copyroboter (2010).
She works alone as well as collaboratively. Her main focuses are print, paper, process, text, colour, chance, people and change.
